Online Manipal” is the platform consolidating online degrees / certificate / PG certificate programs from a few Manipal-group universities: Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE), Manipal University Jaipur (MUJ), Sikkim Manipal University (SMU), etc.
All programs claim to be UGC-entitled / approved for their online degrees, meaning the online degree is recognized under UGC/DEB (Distance Education Bureau) norms.
Many universities in the Manipal group have high NAAC grades (A++, A+, etc.), which adds credibility.
Recognition & Validity
- Online Manipal claims their online degrees are UGC-entitled and recognized.
- The parent institutions (MAHE, MUJ, SMU) have good reputations and accreditations (NAAC A++, A+, etc.) which boosts recognition.
- Degrees are intended to be equivalent (in legal status) to on-campus degrees for purposes of jobs / higher education etc. Still, as with all online degrees, acceptance can vary by employer / country.

Mode of Instruction: Mixture of online live lectures, recorded videos / content available via LMS, live sessions for doubt clearing / interactions, webinars with industry experts.
Schedule & Flexibility: Semesters are structured; though many live sessions are scheduled (often on weekends); course content is asynchronous in many cases (recorded) so students can manage time. Assessments / Exams: Online exams (often remote-proctored), assignments, quizzes etc. Usually final semester exams.
